Golfers’ honorary degree ceremony – sell out

Tickets for Seve Ballesteros and Colin Montgomerie’s honorary degree ceremony have all been snapped up.

Around 1000 people will observe the world-famous golfers receiving Doctor of Laws degrees in the University’s Younger Hall at 4pm on 18 July 2000.

The ceremony, which is envisaged to last 30 minutes, will include a laureation address by Acting Principal Professor Colin Vincent and a brief address by Professor Ian Carradice of the School of Art History who will talk on the ancient links between the University, the town and golf.

A commemorative programme will also be available to buy on the day.
