St Andrews hailed best university in Scotland

The University of St Andrews has again been rated the top University in Scotland according to a national league table.

According to The Guardian, St Andrews has also climbed four places to 10th in the UK.

A number of subjects received rankings in the UK top 10 – Biosciences, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Classics, English, Geography and Geoscience, History and History of Art, French, German, Spanish, Philosophy, Psychology and Theology.

St Andrews was also hailed the best place to study chemistry in the UK.

Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of St Andrews, Dr Brian Lang, said, “We are pleased to see that our ranking as the leading university in Scotland has been maintained. To have retained this position in the face of such strong competition is testimony to the hard work of our staff and students.”
