News and media

Setting our priorities in line with the University’s strategy, we promote University news, research events, and achievements across a range of platforms and channels. We also handle all incoming media enquiries and manage access to our academic experts.

The team has many years of media and public affairs experience and can help prepare content for the wide range of platforms to reach key local, national and international audiences, in line with the University Strategy 2022-2027.

Promoting University research

The Communications team is responsible for promoting and enhancing the University’s world-class reputation for teaching and research.

We work with colleagues across the University to share stories about our world-leading, impactful research.

Our assistance can take many forms from planning to media training.

We prioritise requests based on:

  • the potential to tell a compelling story
  • possibility that promotion of the project will further the University’s strategic objectives

If you are a member of staff and have research-related news to share, please contact the team.
