Traditional carols will again bring a special festive atmosphere to this year’s Alumni Carol Service at the University of St Andrews, which takes place on Thursday 5 December.

University Chaplain, Rev Dr Donald MacEwan, will lead the Service at St Salvator’s Chapel on North Street. Traditional carols from The Renaissance Singers, a mixed choir of students, staff and the wider community, directed by Cole Bendall, will add a festive feeling to the evening.

Elaine Cartwright, Alumni Relations Manager, said: “We always look forward to our annual gathering of alumni and friends of the University for the Carol Service in the beautiful surroundings of St Salvator’s Chapel. This annual event is always a highlight in our calendar and is always a great way to start the festive season.”

Following the service there will be a reception in Lower College Hall where mince pies and mulled wine will be served. Tickets for the reception are priced at £7.50 each and are optional. Tickets are on sale now from Alumni Relations and will be available for collection from Alumni Relations, Development, 91 North Street, from Monday 11 November. Alternatively tickets can be mailed out at the time of booking.
