Ghana visit to St Andrews

Monday 24 February 2020

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo (pictured centre), visited the University of St Andrews to attend the St Andrews Africa Summit (SAASUM) on Saturday 22 February.

SAASUM is a student-led initiative which promotes discussion about Africa as a place, a people and a catalyst towards a greater future. This year’s summit focused on the themes of leadership, development and entrepreneurship within the context of Africa’s diaspora and its cultural and economic output over time.

As well as giving the keynote speech at the fifth annual summit, the President met with University Principal Professor Sally Mapstone (pictured third from left) and some of the students responsible for the annual event.
