Honorary degrees (20 June 2007)

Baroness O’Neill, President of the British Academy, and scientist Sir Brian Heap were awarded honorary degrees by the University of St Andrews yesterday (20 June 2007).

Baroness O’Neill is pictured (above) after being awarded an Honorary Doctor of Letters (DLitt) with Dr Jens Timmermann (Philsophy).

Sir Brian Heap (above right) is pictured after being conferred a Doctor of Science (Hon DSc) with Professor Alan Torrance (Divinity), and below, with his wife, Lady Pat.
