Honorary degrees (22 June 2007 am)

Professor Janet Thornton and Professor Neil Douglas were awarded honorary degrees by the University of St Andrews this morning. 

Professor Thornton, Director of the European Bioinformatics Institute, Cambridge, was made an Honorary Doctor of Science (Hon DSc).  She is pictured below with Professor Garry Taylor (BMS).

Neil Douglas, Professor of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, was made an Honorary Doctor of Medicine (Hon MD).  He is pictured below with Professor Simon Herrington from the Bute Medical School.
