Tuesday 13 August 2019

The Estates Department at the University of St Andrews have taken on seven new apprentices as part of a recruitment programme for modern apprentices which started in August 2007.

After receiving about 400 applications and interviewing more than 100 prospective candidates this year, seven new apprentices have been recruited in the following trade disciplines: slating/roofing, joinery, painting, electrical, gas maintenance, plumbing and sports surfaces.

Helen Mackie, Assistant Director of Estates, said: “We welcome our new apprentices and look forward to them developing their skills and knowledge from our dedicated team of trades and playing field staff, who are highly skilled and take pride in their commitment towards continually providing excellent service to the University community.”
