Students take part in traditional St Andrews Pier Walk
Hundreds of students at the University of St Andrews take part in the traditional Pier Walk (Sunday 8 September 2019) along the harbour walls of St Andrews before the start of the new academic year.
The Pier Walk is one of the oldest traditions in St Andrews. Every Sunday, after chapel service, students in their red gowns walk down to the end of the pier, climb up the ladder and walk back along the top.
The Martinmas Semester starts on Monday 16 September 2019 for all students.
