E-comm facility showcased to UK education sector

A pioneering e-commerce facility allowing students and other customers of the University of St Andrews to pay for goods or services on-line is being showcased to educational institutions from throughout the UK today (Friday 28 March 2003).

Long live the small firm

Factors which affect the survival or demise of small firms have been revealed by a University of St Andrews economist. Professor Gavin Reid, together with Bernadette Power, Lecturer in Economics at University College, Cork, have been examining how some small firms can survive as long as 25 years and others collapse within months of launching.

S. African fuel giant & university form alliance

Johannesburg-based Sasol Limited and the University of St Andrews have today (Wednesday 23 January 2002) announced an alliance to enhance catalyst research, creating around 25 new jobs in Fife.
