Two hundred Chemistry teachers from every corner of Scotland will descend on the University of St Andrews today (Friday 30th May 2003) to learn about the latest developments in the world of chemistry and how they can take them back to their classrooms.
The University of St Andrews is the first in Scotland to offer 24 hour library opening during crucial exam times. The move, a direct display of meeting student needs, began on a trial basis this weekend (Sunday 18th May, 2003).
An historic agreement was signed today (Wednesday 14th May, 2003) between three Scottish and six French Universities to establish joint PhD programmes.
