Shakespeare's creative language is to be examined at a one-day symposium at the University of St Andrews, it was announced today (23 April: Shakespeare's birthday).

Seven of Scotland's most distinguished living authors and poets will give readings to mark the launch of a new Scottish Writing Centre on Friday 24 November 2000.
The winner of the Dan Hemingway Prize for 1999/2000 will be announced at a presentation this week (Thursday 16 March).
