Visual Communications

We want to ensure high-quality visual content across all of the University’s print and digital media. The Visual Communications team includes a photographer who produces and manages a photo gallery of University images that can be used internally and externally, a video producer whose role is to create and support any video production using the University brand, and a postproduction editor to support the team.

The Communications team works closely with Special Collections in the University, who hold an extensive archive of historic University pictures that can be requested from their Photographic Library.

The University owns a substantial collection of unique and historic buildings dating from the 16th century, providing a wide range of both interior and exterior locations which can be hired as locations for feature films, TV dramas, documentaries, adverts, fashion shoots, theatrical productions and events.

The University is a full-time academic institution and, as such, there are restrictions regarding the availability of certain locations, particularly during teaching weeks.

To make a filming or photography request, or for more information on locations, fees and availability, email Gayle McIntyre (Senior Visual Communications Manager) or Ed Broughton (Video Producer) on [email protected].
