2004 golf scholarships awarded

Nine bursaries to play golf at the University of St Andrews were awarded this week.

The Royal and Ancient Foundation Bursary scheme is intended to help students play competitive golf whilst studying other subjects.

The scheme is open to any student in full time study anywhere in the world and operates in 27 institutions throughout Great Britain and Ireland.

The R&A Foundation Golf Bursars 2004 are:

Mr Gary Davidson – Southerness Golf Club, Dumfries Mr Ross Dixon – Kilmarnock Barassie Mr Mark Hillson – Kilspindie Golf Club, Aberlady, East Lothian Mr Will Jeffries – New Golf Club, St Andrews Mr Carl-Wilhelm Levert – New Golf Club, St Andrews Mr Philippe Okan – Meerbusch Golf Club, Germany Mr Stuart Robinson – Walton Heath Golf Club, Surrey Ms Helena Arnadottir – Akureyri Golf Club, Iceland Mr Grant Little – Brampton Golf Club, Cumbria
