Alumni award for University Principal

The Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of St Andrews, Dr Louise Richardson has been honoured by her alma mater, Trinity College, Dublin.

Dr Richardson, who graduated with an MA in 1980, was one of four recipients of Trinity’s Alumni Awards 2009.

The Alumni Awards celebrate the `outstanding contribution that graduates have made to Ireland and the world’.

Fellow recipients on the day included singer Chris de Burgh, the first blind man to reach the South Pole, Mark Pollock and the founder of Gallery Press, Peter Fallon.
