Alumni carol service

Wednesday 7 December 2016

alumni-carol-service-mainbody-1Traditional carols will again bring a special atmosphere to this year’s Alumni Carol Service at the University of St Andrews on 15 December.

University Chaplain, Rev Dr Donald MacEwan, will lead the Service at St Salvator’s Chapel on North Street, with the sermon being given by the Rev Andrew Frearson, Rector of St James the Great Episcopal Church in Dollar.

The Renaissance Singers, a mixed choir of students, staff and the wider community, directed by Cole Bendall, will add to the warm, festive feel by leading the traditional carols, as well as a number of choral interludes.

Elaine Cartwright, Alumni Relations Manager, said: “We always look forward to our annual gathering of alumni and friends of the University for the Carol Service in the beautiful surroundings of St Salvator’s Chapel.

“There will also be an opportunity to catch up with each other over a glass of mulled wine and to meet our new Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sally Mapstone, who we are delighted will be joining us for the service and at the reception which follows in Lower College Hall.”

Please note: tickets are not required to attend the Carol Service. Tickets for the reception are available for purchase online or from the Alumni Relations Office on 01334 467194.
