Honorary degrees 26 June 2008

Swedish novelist Henning Mankell and Manchester University’s Vice-President of Research, Dame Nancy Rothwell, were made honorary graduates of the University of St Andrews this morning (Thursday 26 June 2008).  They are pictured above with the Principal Dr Brian Lang, following the ceremony.

During this afternoon’s ceremony, author and journalist Adam Hochschild (pictured below with the Principal) was made a Doctor of Letters.
