Honorary degrees November 2009
Professor Douglas Dunn speaking after being made a Doctor of Letters by the University. During his speech he commented that it felt ‘very very nice’ to be on the other side of the stage, having delivered many laureations to honorary graduates himself over the years.
In the afternoon, Professor Sir Anthony Leggett, the Nobel Prize-winning physicist was made a Doctor of Science. He is pictured following the ceremony below with (left to right) Professor Moira Jardine, Dr Louise Richardson, Sir Menzies Campbell and Professor Chris Hawkesworth.
