Night of crime
The University of St Andrews is to play host to a night of crime next month (Wednesday 8 November 2000).
“A Night of Criminal Intent” will see two of Scotland’s leading crime writers, Ian Rankin and Val McDermid, giving public readings from their works. Ian Rankin’s visit follows his award of an honorary degree from the University in June.
The event, organised by the Arvon Foundation with the support of the St Andrews Scottish Studies Institute (SASSI), will take place on Wednesday 8 November 2000 at 8pm in the Buchanan Lecture Theatre, Union Street, St Andrews.
Tickets are available from the Crawford Arts Centre (£5 or £4 for concessions) – telephone (01334) 474610.
