Principal Honoured by Queen's University Belfast

Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Louise Richardson has been presented with a honorary DSSc degree by Queen’s University Belfast. She was honoured as a renowned scholar on terrorism and security studies, for her exceptional services to education.

Commenting on her honorary degree, Professor Richardson said: “I am both delighted and honoured to receive this award from Queen’s University, a university which has played such a pivotal role in the history of these islands, and which has educated so many leading figures in public life, the arts, academia and sport.”

She was honoured alongside leading businesswoman Rona Fairhead CBE, the first female to chair the BBC Trust, who was recognised for services to business and commerce.
