Saints Golf and Rusacks extend partnership

The University of St Andrews has renewed its partnership with Rusacks St Andrews, extending a collaboration that celebrates the heritage, community, and competitive spirit of golf at the Home of Golf.
Following a season of remarkable success — including a BUCS national match play title and a historic double win in the R&A Student Tour Series Order of Merit — the renewed partnership will see Rusacks continue as an Official Partner of Saints Golf for the 2025–26 academic year.
Overlooking the 18th hole of the Old Course, Rusacks will remain the unofficial clubhouse for the University Golf Club, offering a welcoming space for student golfers to gather, host visiting teams, and celebrate the sport’s traditions in a setting unlike any other.
Ian Muir, Director of Golf at the University of St Andrews, said:“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Rusacks St Andrews — a place that feels like home for our student golfers. This collaboration not only honours the traditions of the game but also supports the future of university golf at St Andrews. Rusacks provides a unique and inspiring environment for our players to connect, reflect, and grow, both on and off the course.”
The partnership also opens doors for Saints Golf to connect with the wider Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts collection — a portfolio of luxury properties located beside some of the world’s most iconic golf courses, offering unique opportunities for travel, networking, and hospitality.
Seamus Coen, General Manager at Rusacks St Andrews, said: “We’re delighted to continue our relationship with Saints Golf, supporting young golfers at the University of St Andrews. Golf is an institution in the town and we’re honoured to be championing and hosting the next generation of the sport’s talent at Rusacks St Andrews.”
With over 350 members, Saints Golf is one of the largest and most inclusive student golf programmes in the UK. From beginner lessons delivered in partnership with the St Andrews Links Trust, to elite international competition, the programme offers a pathway for every level of golfer.
The University’s golf scholarships are supported by the 600 Club, a global community of donors and supporters, alongside The R&A, Saints Sport, and the St Andrews Links Trust — ensuring that student-athletes continue to thrive in the world’s most iconic golfing environment.
