Technician retires after 50 years of service

Mr Iain Laurie retired from his post as Technician in the School of Biology at the University of St. Andrews this summer after nearly 50 years of continuous service.

Mr Laurie spent his entire career, which began in January 1954, in the Bute Medical Buildings.

He is pictured (right) together with his wife Norma (left) and Professor Keith Sillar, Head of the School of Biology (centre), at a reception held in his honour in the Bell Pettigrew museum.
