The University of St Andrews has begun the process to elect a new Chancellor, following the sad death earlier this year of Lord Campbell of Pittenweem.
The University is saddened by the loss of The Right Honourable Lord Campbell of Pittenweem CH CBE KC FRSE, our Chancellor, steadfast friend, and tireless advocate.
A delegation from the University took part in a long-held tradition at Buckingham Palace last week (Thursday 9 March).

The University yesterday paid tribute to Deputy Principal David Corner with an honorary degree. David, who has worked for the University since 1975, was made a Doctor of Letters alongside golfer Charlie Sifford (Doctor of Laws) and Professor of Physics, Theodor Hansch (Doctor of Science). The laureation address (below) was given by Principal Dr Brian Lang.
