Former Chancellor passes away, aged 89.
The former Chancellor of the University of St Andrews, Sir Kenneth Dover, will be made Honorary President of the Students' Association today (Wednesday, 12 April).
Sir Kenneth Dover, who retires as Chancellor of the University on 31 December 2005, presided for the final time at a meeting of the General Council in Dundee at the weekend (Saturday 26 November).
The annual St Andrew's Day Graduation Ceremony at the University of St Andrews will kick off next week (Wednesday 30th November) with awards being given to a host of well-known names, both inside and outside the University.
Sir Kenneth Dover, FRSE, FBA, Chancellor of the University of St Andrews, is to retire from office on December 31st 2005.
Scots author Ian Rankin is to receive an honorary degree from the University of St Andrews.
