The University of St Andrews hosted a reception yesterday (Wednesday 19 October) to honour over 100 new undergraduates who have won scholarships to study at the University.

Dr Brian Lang, Principal and Vice- Chancellor of the University of St Andrews, has accepted an invitation from the University's governing body to extend his contract by two years until December 31st 2008.
The University of St Andrews hosted a special lunch for this year's intake of Canadian Jones scholars. Attended by the University's Principal Dr Brian Lang, the lunch was held for nine students currently on a year's exchange from Canada.
The University of St Andrews has again been rated the top University in Scotland according to a national league table.
